Russian Federation of a partnership between a library and a literary
estate. The projects overall goal is to develop and implement an on-line
joint catalogue offering integrated access to the bibliographic records
of the Personal Library of Leo Nikolaevich Tolstoy and other related
collections held by the Tolstoy Literary Estate in Yasnaya Polyana,
as well as to bibliographic records and a selection of digital resources
in the Russian State Library.

is a project funded by the European Commission under the Sixth Framework
Programme of the Information Society Technologies (IST) Programme. The
project started on 1 February 2005 with the overall goal of stimulating
and facilitating the participation of organisations from the New Member
States of the European Union in projects funded within the Information
Society Technologies area, and to support the 10 national libraries
from the New Member States, who are partners in the project, in becoming
full members of The European Library (www.theeuropeanlibrary.org).

EDL is a Targeted Project within the area of cultural and scientific /
scholarly content of the eContentplus Programme. It builds on The European
Library and the TEL-ME-MOR project.
The project started on 1 September
2006 and runs for 18 months, with a total budget of 2.114m of which
1m contribution by the eContentplus programme. EDL addresses the core
issues of accessing the content now available digitally within the European
Union, of finding ways to expand what is digitally available and of
building on the existing European Library as a business model and operational
service.

Consistent with the i2010 digital library initiative, EDLnet will build consensus to create the European Digital Library. It will find solutions to the interoperability of the cultural content held by European museums, archives, audio-visual archives and libraries in the context of The European Digital Library.
